The Challenge
Baosteel's Shanghai steelworks, today part of China Baowu Steel Group, the world's largest steel producer, needed fine filtration on high-pressure water services around the casting area — a dusty, high-temperature environment where 16 bar working pressure rules out most automatic filters.
The Solution
Filtaworx FW050HP High Pressure Automatic Self-Cleaning Screen Filters, rated for 16 bar working pressure, installed at point of use on the casting floor. The compact FW050 body fits the tight pipework runs around the caster, and automatic backwash keeps screens clean in an environment where manual maintenance access is limited.
